The Jersey Difference
Our milk comes from Jerseys, the little brown cows! Contrary to popular belief, the brown cows do not produce chocolate milk. However, they do produce rich and creamy milk that makes the best milk and ice cream around! Jerseys offer premium milk that has up to 20% more protein, 18% more calcium and 12% more phosphorus and considerably higher levels of essential vitamins like B12. Riverbend Creamery is certified for the “Queen of Quality” seal, a recognition from National All-Jersey, Inc. that our milk is 100% authentic Jersey milk.
A2/A2 milk is cows milk that contains the A2 type of beta-casein protein instead of the more common A1 protein found in most milk. Our bodies digest A1 and A2 protein milk differently. A2 protein milk is often described as being more easily digested. Individuals that are lactose intolerant often return to cow’s milk if it’s A2 protein milk.
We offer Whole Milk, Low Fat Milk, Skim Milk, Chocolate Milk, Buttermilk, Half & Half and Heavy Cream in gallons, half gallons, quarts and pints. We also offer seasonally flavored milks too!
